A Quick Recipe for a Healthy 10 Minute Meal
One of the keys to a healthy lifestyle and of course, healthy teeth and gums is eating healthily. However, with the busy lives we lead it’s small wonder that many people opt for quick ready meals. Whilst this is obviously convenient, in the long run it won’t do your health or teeth any good to keep having ready meals as part of your diet.
There are many healthy recipes out there; you just need to look for them. With a small amount of ingredients and limited drain on your time, you could be serving up healthy meals with no problem. Here’s a quick recipe for a healthy 10 minute meal to get you motivated:
Beef & Broccoli stir fry – serves 4 people
600g (1 1/3lb) minced (ground) beef 2 heads broccoli, cut into bite sized little trees 2 cloves garlic, peeled & finely sliced 4T oyster sauce Bunch coriander, roughly chopped with some stems included
Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to the boil. Cook broccoli for 2 minutes and then drain.
Meanwhile, heat 2T olive oil in a large frying pan and cook beef over a high heat until very brown. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Add broccoli and sauce and stir through until well heated. Taste and season.
Serve sprinkled with coriander and eat either on its own or with steamed rice.
This makes for a tasty healthy meal that you can complete in 10 minutes and is perfect for a midweek dinner for the family.
So, as you can see, putting together a healthy meal needn’t be expensive or take up a lot of your time. In 10 minutes you can rustle up a meal that is easy on the pocket and good for your health. Your diet plays an important role in maintaining a healthy set of teeth. Every day your teeth are subject to different foods and beverages and the higher the sugar content, then the more damaging it can be.
