No, you remove your aligners to eat and drink anything other than water. This protects the material from damage while also helping to prevent bacteria build up on your aligners.
You may experience some discomfort when you move to a firmer aligner or when you change aligners. This is simply due to the pressure that is required to move your teeth. It shouldn’t be excessively painful, and we recommend getting in touch with your dentist if you’re finding the treatment to be painful.
Treatment plans are unique to each patient. In general, you can expect to see results from around 12 weeks, but more complex cases could take longer. We’ll let you know how long you can expect to wait for treatment to be completed during your initial consultation.

Chetan qualified in 2004 and has worked at the Bhandal Dental Practices for over 10 years. Qualified in implant dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh & has a special interest in complex implant dentistry and help his patients achieve a straight smile with Invisalign work.
He has completed his diploma in Orthodontics at Warwick University and is now pursuing his MSc in Orthodontics. Chetan has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, braces and implant dentistry. Chetan has a special focus in CAD/CAM dentistry, single-visit crowns and impression fewer bridges.
